BIOGRAPHY
Melinda Victoria Elvenes is a full-time working model and actress.
She is known for having graced the covers of magazines, been featured on countless national and international TV commercials - as well as starred on the celebrity-filled show Styling Hollywood on Netflix.
Melinda was born and raised in Botswana, to a Motswana mother and a Norwegian father. Before age five, she had already spent two years of her life on her father’s 47’ sailboat, crossing the Atlantic Ocean. Every winter she would travel alone to Norway to visit her grandparents, and permanently move there at age 12. She then got into the Norwegian National Ballet; which made her explore a multitude of dance styles throughout her teens.
Walking her first runway at Oslo Fashion Week - led her to compete in and win the 2010 Miss Norway competition, fulfilling a childhood dream of one day standing on the Miss Universe stage. Melinda moved to New York in 2012 to pursue her fledgling modeling career. The Viking in her may have loved every brick and breath of The Big Apple, but her inner Motswana could not resist the lure of sunny Los Angeles.
Feeling the artistic confinement of the freeze-frame led her to the West Coast, to pursue acting full-time. The theatrical aspect of ballet sparked a love for acting early on, making the transition feel natural and inevitable. Melinda’s first ballet instructor, Hilary Crous, taught her the value of discipline, and to this day she is an avid believer in putting in her 10,000 hours.
At home she enjoys time with her 8-year-old, and tries her best to focus on the small things that life has to offer; walking around barefoot in the grass, making food surrounded by friends, and enjoying a delicious glass of natural wine.
